Agnieszka Frala Dabrowska
Born 13.02.1976 Krasnobród, Poland
I have always been interested in a variety of approaches to art. I like to experiment with different art media. Painting was the first subject which fascinated me, but I also work with such media as: drawing, photography and body painting. I like to experiment with different art medias. Drawing and mark- making have a very strong impact on my art. To Create a multi -levelness of my work, I often work directly on the sketch, where I build the atmosphere by mixing different media and connect the different images together , for example, combining ink with watercolour and gauche.
I am fascinated by magical realism, especially in literature and film, where dreams, imagination, the subconscious and spirituality intertwine and blend together. The works relates to the nature and landscape, looking at key areas of image and secretive places where reality melts down. My art is a journey through the interpretation of the multi- meaningless and multi -levelness of my life. For this reason, the character of my works is diverse. The paintings are calm and serene and have a watercolour effect with considerable depth. On the other hand, you can see works that are extremely bold, using blues , reds and orange on canvas. Mixed media works express the landscape and the human connection with it, the inner landscape where memories , associations, feelings and places seen can combine.
